Microvent prototype actuator for retrofitting existing HVAC systems

Microvent Systems approached Cortex Design with their idea for a retrofit system for residential forced air ventilation systems, to allow consumers to shut different rooms in their dwellings off from the system.

Working with a limited budget, Cortex Design created working prototypes and proof of concept models for Microvent to perform system testing and pursue additional funding, and generated valuable design databases for patent applications.
